When old friends swap favorite snacks!

The wooded areas of the imagination are filled with mystery and wonder.

Sometimes they can be scary places of dark shadows and gleaming eyeballs.   Most of the time they are fun places of wild adventures or a snooze under a shady tree.

Today all the woods of all the places in all the land celebrate a special holiday.  Today is National Winnie The Pooh Day.  It is a little known fact that Pooh bear and Ollie Bug are old friends.  Oh yes, it’s true about Ollie Bug and Winnie The Pooh.  Old friends indeed.

There have been many sleepovers and misadventures between the bear with a honey pot and the spider with a jet pack.  But one thing Pooh has never tried is pizza, Ollie’s favorite snack.  Today Pooh decided, at Ollie’s invitation to come to lunch in Moonwater Meadow to sample the local treat.  Ollie ordered a special large pie, no mushrooms, pepperoni, marshmallows or chocolate mind you.  Pooh brought Ollie a special batch of root beer honey.  He knew Ollie would love that.

Together, the two friends sat under the warm sun of Bigger-Than-It-Looks field and shared their favorite snacks.  No one is sure how far One Hundred Acre Wood is from Moonwater Meadow.  Great distances aren’t so great when it comes to seeing old friends…
